The five-day prototype circuit


Day 0 : Map the single user journey from query → answer.


Day 1: Fork the Tools Agent template, paste the client’s LLM key. A blank agent is live in < 30 min. Point at a LangConnect index of a handful of docs. Responses gain context.


Day 2: Invite three domain experts; transcripts land in LangSmith. Real-world feedback.


Days 3-4: Edit prompts, tweak tool list, redeploy with one click. Hello alpha.


Day 5: Discuss how we scale and productionise assuming everyone is on side.



⚠️ Prototype ≠ Production


Proof-of-concept speed is valuable, but shipping mission-critical software is a different, slower game. Reliable systems that run an enterprise’s day-to-day operations demand:


Hard-won robustness – rigorous testing against edge-cases, load spikes, and adversarial inputs.


Data architecture – clean pipelines, lineage, governance, and retention policies that survive audits.


Ops & security – monitoring, alerting, incident playbooks, RBAC, and zero-trust network posture.


Change management – versioning, staged roll-outs, rollback paths, and stakeholder sign-off.


Embedded business context – incentive structures, workflows, and KPIs baked into every task the agent performs.
